I noticed that when I like a blog, I often want to read about the author. Just in case both of my fans want to do so here goes…
I’m a 55-year-old ultra liberal male. I have super human powers. I can’t turn water into wine or anything but I have turned some cheddar cheese into something that can walk around on its own in my refrigerator.
I was born in Philadelphia, moved to Colorado, Indiana and ended up living most of my formative years in Michigan. It was there I learned about cars and snow. To this day I’m not interested in either so I bio transferred myself to California. (I can teach you how to do this but there is some risk that parts of you stay behind)
For the first half of my life, I was a working rock musician. I played professionally at clubs and venues in the Midwest and in Canada. This explains once and for all why I say “huh?” when I am spoken to. (BTW..the IRS get’s particularly perturbed by this)
After some early spiritual soul-searching, I spent 3 years as a Zen Buddhist Temple member in Ann Arbor Michigan. In the process of earning wisdom uncommon on this planet, I lost the feeling in both my knees. I went back to college in Detroit and studied music composition. I had rejected the onset of commercial rock and commercial music in general and began writing Choral works and various instrumentals. These works have the distinction of having never been heard by human ears. I had a cat that heard them once and he reacted by trying to push the sound away with his paw.
I started working at a crisis center as a counselor. Eventually I became a supervisor and also worked for a Crisis Response Unit in Oakland County. It’s amazing that they let me do this, but most clients who talked with me felt better knowing that they will never be as fucked up as I was.
Currently I work in the San Francisco Bay area, saving both lives and small pieces of string.
That’s more than enough I think. Thanks for reading. I’m sorry there weren’t more explosions and stuff in there.
